Power of the Purse is United Way of Wells County’s premier annual fundraiser, bringing the community together to support early childhood development programs. This exciting event features a raffle of beautifully curated purse packages, including a special “Power Purse,” all designed to inspire generosity and fun. Proceeds support programs like Bookends, Kindergarten Countdown, and the Imagination Library, ensuring a brighter future for the children of Wells County. Join us for an evening of impact, connection, and giving back to our community!

As a Purse Donor, your sponsorship helps make the Power of the Purse event a success by contributing a beautifully curated purse package for the raffle. A business, non-profit organization, single person, or group of people can come together and create a purse package. The package should include a new purse stuffed with goodies to create a retail value of at least $250.

Purses (along with sponsors) will be displayed during the event and will also be promoted before the event. We strongly encourage our sponsors to shop locally and support our local businesses!

* If you are unable to donate a complete purse package but still want to participate, you may donate a new item with a retail value of at least $10, and we will pool your donation with other item donations to create purse packages.
